In good British tradition it is often held that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”. More than one successful person has noted that in their evaluations and comparisons how tidiness and order often was so intertwined with people of the greatest success. You might think that you are smart and crafty knowing where every item is within your carefully stacked piles. Yet it takes a tremendous amount of lost energy and effort. Why not put your limited time and energy to better avails .Experts in the field and fields of good feng shui, cleanliness is a must. In life we do not have the privilege to forget about the vital nature of order in our lives. Structure, neatness and good order are basics of successful and good living. Clean your clutter and free your mind up. Tidying up is important to creating an efficient, gentle and guiding flow of vital positive energy through your own home. Invigorate the energy of your home. Free your surroundings of clutter and get organized.

Getting organized is not quite an easy task as one might surmise. It’s a new year and a new life. What do you really need or what have you simply acquired for little real purpose? One wise person had a basic rule when it came to cleaning and tidying up -”If I have not used the item in a year then it is highly unlikely that I will use it this year in 2010. Thus it’s out with the old and in with the new. Let someone else – with greater specific needs have good use of that item. Why clutter up your residence, hotel room on the go, or your life with unnecessary possessions and overall clutter.

To start and begin with always consider that your storage spaces should not block the essential and most vital “chi” energy from freely flowing .Blocked or stagnant “chi” contributes to harmful vibrations to one’s well being. Storage units that hanging from the top ceiling work to create vast amounts of what might be called disseminating oppressive energy which will press down and even choke anything that is underneath it .Overhead storage provides a feelings of downheartedness, apprehension and devastation and even downright mental depression. Why limit yourself and your family’s efforts and feelings for no good reason or reasoning what so ever. It can be said that 99 % of life is picking your battles and follow through with chosen projects and efforts.

Shelving units and even individual shelves that are positioned in such a manner that they are utilized as storage spaces, must not be positioned or placed on a wall beside your bed, or utilized as a barrier or even simply in a place or a position overhead a doorway or sets of doorways. Shelves placed in these above mentioned locations may well causes headaches, poor sleep, insomnia sluggishness and ultimately confused or muddled thinking. The story is told of a person who had basically ruined their life, their chances and their relationships with caring friends and family. In this case the individual had not only ruined a lucrative career by being a detriment and negative energy at work to both his co-workers and management but he seemed to go on to teach any authority figure or figure’s a lesson. Once removed by the bank from his own premises, this character, a schmendrick or buffoon went on to pay great amounts of ongoing storage fees, to store items of no seemingly value to anyone or anything what so ever. The person’s life seemed to be focused on shuffling these unwanted and even useless goods from one storage space, where he often could not pay the bills, to the next storage space where it could be guaranteed the identical situation would avail in short order, in a predictable matter of time. A Greek tragedy out of all proportions. Yet to his deathbed. This person will insist that everyone else was out to get him – it was everyone else’s fault but his own. On his tombstone will be inscribed “They did it to me”. However it might be better inscribed “Here is a lesson to the world how clutter killed me”. Better to be a Wayne Newton impersonator that led a cluttered and ultimately non -productive life.

In the same way and means if at all possible avoid using your under-bed spaces as storage as this may influence your sleeping conditions. No matter how much sleep and rest you get you will still feel exhausted. Stuff , stuff , stuff. In some people’s lives their possessions are either their “best friends” or in nouveau riche mentality to prove their worth and ultimate value as a human being. What a way to live a shallow life trying to project your worth to others by simple possessions. You can only be what you are. Push cluttering collections from your mind and mindset with storage units that close off collections – such as standing wall units with doors, filing cabinets that have even locking doors and drawers which can be pushed in tight, closed and even sealed from your minds eye. You can always rearrange and reorder the items that you wish to display to yourself and the world. Thus you can both change and enhance both the appearance and ultimately the concepts, and organization and ultimately your well chosen priorities in your life.

For family photographs and albums it is better that they be neatly organized in their most appropriate storage-the albums. Where we can easily flip on the pages in times when we want to revisit people and memories. However, you can set one wall in the house or in the hallway where you can hang your photos. In the same manner the cluttered victim above spent great amount of time and effort carefully storing, and moving from storage center to the next a large obsolete vinyl record collection. As a well meaning acquaintance tried to explain to him (to no avail), at some point in time you have to consider is it worth keeping and the costs – both financial costs, your time and ultimately your own mental health and accord of retaining such possessions – especially if they are of no apparent interest to anyone or any authorities in the world. Get on with your life. Its 2010.

First things first. Put away or get rid of items not used anymore. Its just waste. An individual only has so much energy and time throughout their lifetime. Use your gifts and currency wisely. Do not squander them. It can be said that a penny saved is intrinsically worth much much more than a penny earned. Remember at the gates of St, Peter we be ultimately asked “Did we contribute something to life , the world and the life’s of the people we meet in the world or were we simply just putting in time ?”
