What is a good digital SLR camera for fashion photography?
Im creating a new line of very avant-garde clothing, and Im planning on taking a lot of editorial shots. I need a good quality camera with interesting effects. Thankyou for your help : )
I am sure you have attended many runway shows, so have noticed that there are a lot of Nikon and Canon dSLR’s represented there in the hands of the pros.
Recently more Nikon’s are showing up because of their better performance at high ISO’s especially when shooting runway events.
If you are shooting fashion, you know that the the most important aspect of a camera is its ability to match colour of your textiles, NOT interesting effects. Those effects are done using post production software and in the hands of an expert retoucher.
Here is how the white balance necessary for accurate colour reproduction of textiles is assured.

You will want a camera that can shoot at ISO 3200 or better with low-noise and a 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens as a minimum. Can we assume you are shooting in a studio or in outdoor settings?
